The Outer Worlds is a single-player sci-fi RPG by Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division. The screenshots below is the game running on Switch hardware. This will be the first time the players get to see the game downscaled, and yet the title looks fantastic for what the Switch can do. Obsidian Entertainment hasn’t yet released a full trailer of the game running, but I’m sure they’ll deliver it soon.
Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later than you expected only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony.
As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter a host of factions all vying for power, who you decide to become will determine the fate of everyone in Halcyon.
In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.
The game also launched on the eShop for those looking to pre-purchase the game before release. A retail version is also available with a required day one download to improve the game textures.
