Rumour: Silent Hill PS5 Should Be Apart Of Sony’s PS5 Event

Silent Hill fans are excited about this new Silent Hill reboot for Sony’s next-gen machine, the PlayStation 5. The last entry in the franchise was in Silent Hill: Downpour, which was released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 back in March 2012. After a long hiatus, it seems like Konami’s survival horror franchise is about to make its triumphant comeback on the PlayStation 5, a reboot developed by Sony Japan Studio.

According to the tweet, Keiichiro Toyama has returned to direct the PS5 exclusive and also according to one of the sources that helped leak news about the reboot, that the new Silent Hill game will be part of Sony’s PlayStation 5 event this Thursday.

Twitter user, AestheticGamer, worked in tandem with website Rely On Horror to share more details about this rumoured title, said that Silent Hill on the PS5 should be revealed on June 4. He stated this because it’s an exclusive title that is in a playable state.

However, the Twitter profile warns that the announcement might be held back until August, around the time Sony is speculated to host another State of Play and because the title is not a launch game. But Sony did state that this week’s PS5 event would focus on “the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday.” Thank goodness we don’t have to wait much longer to see whether this comes true or not.
