In April of this year, Video Games Chronicle released a report stating that Capcom is in the process of remaking Resident Evil 4. The title is aiming for a 2022 release, meaning that it’ll most likely be a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X game. The remake has the blessing of the original game’s director, Shinji Mikami. We haven’t heard any more news surrounding the remaking until recently.
During an interview with IGN, Mikami was questioned about how he feels if a new team was remaking his greatest work. He responds by saying: “As long as it turns out good, I have no issues with it.” Of course, nothing is official, and Capcom hasn’t made any announcements as of yet if this is true or not.
I think this rumour is the real thing, Capcom has already remade some of its classic Resident Evil games, and they sold well and got a good reception from critics and fans. Regardless if this is true or not, we still have Resident Evil 8 to look forward too. What do you think about this new Resident Evil 4 remake? Let me know in the comment section down below.
