Shadow Man was a game that was released back in 1999 for the N64, PC and original PlayStation. Fast-forward to the present, and Shadow Man is back for a remaster, and developer Nightdive Studios will be the one creating this remastered edition.
This updated version of Acclaims 1999 classic will be running on a proprietary Nightdrive engine called “KEX.” This engine was previously used to bring back games like Turok, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, Forsaken Remastered, and System Shock: Enhanced Edition.
So the question is, how is this new remaster shaping up? Well, during this year’s PC Gamer Show, developer Nightdive Studios shared the game’s first teaser trailer. Check it out above.
The remaster will include 4K resolution, improved shadow mapping, per-pixel lighting, anti-aliasing, and missing content that was cut from the original game. The Switch version of the game will include the missing content, refined gameplay, audio, art, assets, and even Pro Controller support.
Shadow Man Remastered will be launch sometime in 2021 on the PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
