Digital Foundry Covers Deadly Premonition 2 For The Switch

Deadly Premonition 2 launched last week, and those who played the game early pointed out that it suffers from significant performance issues. Digital Foundry is now clearing everything up and take a closer look at the Switch release as part of its technical analysis.

Listed are some details:

  • The game was built on the Unity engine
  • You get 30 fps (frames per second) on the opening segments.
  • Loading times can take a while
  • Runs on an unlocked frame rate
  • Going through doors and firing your weapon freezes the game for a split second.
  • The open-world segments usually run at around 15 fps (frames per second)
  • The game runs at 810p docked while the original game had 720p
  • Reloading the game seems to give you improved performance
  • Handheld mode is not much different
